Young Scientists Present Research at Hypertension Congress

The XXI All-Russian Congress "Arterial Hypertension 2025: From Clinical Guidelines to Real Practice" began on March 19, 2025, hosted by the Russian Medical Society on Arterial Hypertension with support from the Russian Society of Physicians and the Chazov National Medical Research Center of Cardiology. The event addresses cutting-edge hypertension topics with prominent Russian and international experts, including cardiologists, neurologists, and endocrinologists. Young scientists, guided by Professor A.S. Ryazanov, presented a study by K.A. Glukhovskaya and M.V. Makarovskaya exploring the link between modifiable risk factors in women with type 2 diabetes and blood pressure control. The research highlighted the prevalence of obesity, low physical activity, and correlations between BP monitoring frequency, glycated hemoglobin levels, and cardiovascular comorbidities, emphasizing the need for personalized, comprehensive risk management to enhance antihypertensive therapy outcomes.
