The Young Scientists' School of the Department of General Medical Practice and Outpatient Therapy held a meeting dedicated to the Day of Russian Science

On the eve of the Day of Russian Science, a meeting of the Young Scientists' School of the Department of General Medical Practice and Outpatient Therapy was held under the leadership of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Alexey Sergeevich Ryazanov. He discussed with the participants the prospects for professional growth and research activities.

The main topic of the meeting was the epidemiology of type 2 diabetes mellitus, its diagnosis, clinical manifestations, and complications. The results of his research work were presented by A.A. Guts, a second-year clinical resident.

Professor A.S. Ryazanov, Associate Professor M.V. Makarovskaya, and lecturers I.M. Khapokhov and N.A. Anisimov took an active part in the discussion. Special attention was paid to the prevention of diabetes in patients with high cardiometabolic risk and the effectiveness of modern treatment methods, including lifestyle changes and new medications.

The topic aroused great interest and became an important part of the educational program for young scientists and physicians.
